Gently fold in the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate chunks.
Using a tablespoon cookie scoop, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Flatten the cookies slightly to about 3/8-inch thick.
Bake for 9 to 12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the pan for 2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
