Gluten Free Chicken L’orange for Pesach

Serve your Chicken L’orange hot and garnish with fresh orange slices for a visually stunning presentation. Get ready to delight your taste buds with this irresistible Pesach dish that’s anything but Meh!


  • Your favorite “breading” recipe potato starch, egg, potato starch
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup Kosher for Passover Tropicana Orange Juice
  • 1 tablespoon potato starch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Optional: Chili flakes lemongrass, splash of fresh-squeezed lime


  • Prepare your favorite “breading” mixture for the chicken nuggets using potato starch, egg, and potato starch. Dredge the chicken pieces in the breading mixture and fry until golden brown and crispy. Set aside.

For the CC OJ Glaze:

  • In a frying pan over medium heat, let the sugar sit until it dissolves and turns into a light amber color, resembling liquid honey.
  • Add the white wine vinegar to the pan and mix until the sugar dissolves again.
  • Pour in the Kosher for Passover Tropicana Orange Juice and allow it to reduce by about 2/3 of its volume, which should take approximately 20 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix the potato starch and water to create a slurry.
  • Add the slurry to the orange juice mixture and stir until the desired consistency is reached.
  • For an extra kick, add optional ingredients like chili flakes, lemongrass, and a splash of fresh-squeezed lime for added flavor complexity.
  • Once the glaze is ready, pour it over the fried chicken nuggets, ensuring they are evenly coated in the sweet and tangy goodness.
